La Demande

A man approaches the maître d’hôtel. He lowers his voice.

He has an engagement ring and intends to give it during dinner. The only requirement is that the woman at his table must notice nothing before the chosen moment.

Some requests require a reservation. Others require a sommelier. Celle-ci exigeait surtout que toute la salle sache ne rien voir.

No announcement. No performance. Service continues. Plates arrive. Conversation carries on.

A few metres away from her, a small blue box waits for its moment. Le restaurant connaît beaucoup de secrets. Certains tiennent dans une poche.
